In reading this article, it again made me excited for the hybrid classes I will be teaching next year! (I'm starting to see a theme on my blog!) I have "used" QuickOffice on my Android phone and on my iPad, but I wasn't really aware of all it had to offer. I only used it to open things like Word documents and PowerPoints when I wasn't near a computer. Now, with the new updates to QuickOffice, if I create a document on my laptop, it will automatically sync with all my other devices...this is pretty cool for a busy teacher on the go! This means that I can work offline on the same document (since it is not dependent on the Cloud), and there is no problem with having to send it or save it...it just syncs! Another cool feature is that we can create a document anywhere...on Microsoft Office, in Evernote, in a DropBox, on the phone, whatever...and it can now be available in the same format on our phones, tablets, computers, etc. I think this is a pretty cool app, and I was excited to learn about it.
As people move to using more and more types of devices I think that this is an excellent idea for working on the go!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that there was an option out there for working on the go. I bought a Mac last year right before iCloud was built in and I thought that option was useful. I rely on Office and it would be useful to work on something when I do not have my laptop with me. I am going to check into this!
